Day 3: Was AWESOME. Reece woke up in the morning with dry "nighttime underwear" again. We went to Grady's soccer game Saturday morning. Reece stayed dry all day.
Day 4: Sunday he woke up dry again. We went to our coed soccer game and Reece told me at the field that he needed to poop and he held it tell we got to the bathroom. He did have a accident at the game, but other then that he had a good day.
Day 5 & 6: I have been trying to give him more freedom and not watch him every second of the day. So he has had a couple wet underwear but most of the time they are just a little wet and then he tell me he needs to go potty.
We are so proud of him, he is doing great in his big boy underwear.

Potty Training: Day 2
Reece had another AWESOME day. He woke up with dry "nighttime underwear" this morning. He pooped in the potty and only had one accident. He had 4 wet underwear but 3 were just a little wet.
We made energy balls (for fiber) and Oatmeal cookies today.
He also woke up from nap with dry "nighttime underwear." We are so proud of Reece and how is showing us what a big boy he is. This is going way better then I thought it would. Since he is doing so good we will be bring him out to Grady soccer game tomorrow so we will see how good he does when he is not home :)

Potty Training: Day 1
We (Grady and I) started Potty Training Reece today. Grady is off from school this week so I decided we would stay home and start potty training since Reece started to show a lot of interest in January. We are using the same 3 Day Potty Training method that worked for Grady (except for pooping).
We already had a ton of underwear from Grady but we still let Reece go pick out a pack at the store yesterday, he picked Cars2. I also stocked up on high fiber food and juice.
Grady was so excited to "help" potty train Reece that he woke him up at 6:40am. After I shower and got ready, I let Reece pick up the underwear he wanted to wear. Reece was so excited and proud to be wearing big boy underwear. The 3 Day Potty Training method tells you to stay right by your child for the 3 days to make sure to catch them in the act and run them to the potty. With this method you do not put them on the potty every 15mins you just remind them ALL day to tell mommy when you need to go potty.

Reece did GREAT. He had 3 accidents, 6 wet underwear (3 were just a little wet, he stopped himself) and 4 pee pee's in the potty. Grady was huge help and so supportive for Reece. After Reece pee pee'd the first time Grady told Reece "Ok Reece that was the first level now the next level is harder that is pooping on the potty."
The book also recommends not EVER using pullups not even at nap/night well we tried that for a LONG/WET month with Grady and then started using pullups at nap and night. I put "nighttime underwear" (what we call a pullups in our house) on Reece for nap and he kept it dry.
Reece did not poop today but I really think he needed too he tried to go a ton of times tonight and was holding his bottom. We will see if he goes tonight in his "nighttime underwear."
Pray for us to have another wonderful potty training day tomorrow as we did today.

I LOVE my husband... and my big boy GRADY!!
I LOVE my husband... He came home early since I was STRESSED out. He got home about 4pm which was wonderful since Grady only napped for about 30mins and pooped in his underwear. So I got to sit back and take a break and also read a million websites about potty training looking for ideas to help us with a toddler who was pee pee on the potty and now will not get near the potty.
Keith had a soccer game tonight so after he left Grady and I ate dinner and Grady ate a ton of food, I guess b/c he was hungry from not eating lunch. Well after I cleaned up and got some fruit loops and asked Grady to come see what I had in the bathroom. I threw them in the potty and told Grady to see if he could hit them with his pee. Well I be, he got right up and started to pee. So I gave him his M&M and a sticker. Then we went and colored a potty reward chart I downloaded from Supernanny's website. We put on his sticker and I told him once he gets 10 stickers he will get a PRIZE. Well he just loved all this. He has pee pee on the potty with out me asking or catching him in the act 6 times tonight. He did have one poop accident but he ran to the potty when he did it I had not even noticed he did it and the he pee pee in the potty after we cleaned him up.
I have been so happy that he is peeing we have been cheering and dancing. With LSU doing good I have been cheering for them, Grady has been saying "GEAUX Tigers..LSU." Well one time after he pee peed we were in the living room and I was cheering for him and he said "GEAUX TIGERS" and I was thinking no its GEAUX GRADY. So cute I am happy for them both... but pee pee in the potty is making me so much more happy right NOW!!
I am not sure what was wrong with him today but thank you for yall your support today.
Oh yeah and he went to sleep with the bedroom door unlocked in only 10mins. What a wonderful night!!
LONG DAY!! and it is only noon
I just need to VENT!

Grady woke up at 5:45am and had an accident on the floor, but not his bed. Go Grady!! Well he would not go to sleep after that. He did not pee all morning. And we had to go to Fedex Office to print my brother-in-laws dissertation so we can bring it to the LSU Grad school tomorrow. So I needed Grady to try to go potty before we left. Well he was not having it he just keep fighting me he would not sit or stand by the potty. So I reminded him that he needed to keep his underwear dry while we out. I told him if he could keep them dry while we were out he could get a drink at Starbucks (it is next door to Fedex). Well he did GREAT while we were out. So I got him a chocalte milk and I got a mocha.
On the way home Grady said "This is my coffee and that is Mama's coffee."
When we got home he started to play trains and then he says "all done" I check his underwear and he has pee peed a little bit in his underwear so we run to the bathroom and he would not stand or sit on the potty, flighting and crying the WHOLE time. So I don't force him to go and just change his underwear, just remind him that he needs to tell mommy when he needs to go pee pee in the potty. Then he does this 4 more times. Since we got back from the store he has been super grumpy i guess from waking up so early now for 4 days in a row. So I decide we need to eat lunch and then put Grady down for a nap. While i was getting lunch ready he goes in his room and has an accident on the floor. Again he FIGHTS me in the bathroom we change his underwear and go to eat lunch. He tells me he wants a cheeseburger (sorry dude no cheeseburgers and I am not going out with you acting like this). He refuses to sit down or eat lunch. So after I was done with lunch, I ask him if he need to go potty he says NO. So I go and lay him down in his bed.
SIDE NOTE: We used to have a child proof door knob lock on Grady's bedroom door so he could not get out of his room. Well we decided Monday night that he needs to able to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night so we took off the door knob lock. Well Grady was LOVING that he just kept coming out of his room so we started to follow Supernanny's stay in bed technique. Where you say nothing at all as you lead him back to bed, tuck him in, and leave the room. Well we had to do this for 1.5 hours Monday & Tuesday night.
So today when I laid him down for a nap he is crying and saying cheese, lunch. So we go try to eat one more time and he will not eat anything. So I go lay him down he keeps coming out of the room crying for cheese I had to do the stay in bed technique. One time he comes to the door all wet, he had an accident on the floor. He FIGHTS me again in the bathroom. He finally feel alseep after 35min of putting him back in bed.
And guess what he just started to cry again!! OMG! I need a break!
UPDATE (at 1pm): He woke up crying after only being alseep for 30mins. I went in to see if he needed to pee pee, but he had already had an accident on the floor. He sat on the potty for a little bit then got upset. I am having to bring him back to bed again and he has just had 2 MORE accidents. Oh and the great news is that he has not pooped yet today, so i am sure that is going to happen in his underwear soon.

Day 3 of potty training
This morning Grady woke up at 5:30am and when got in the room he was standing by his bedroom door and had just had an accident on the floor. I thought that was great that he at least tried to get to the bathroom. He went right back to sleep but only till 6am. Two early mornings is really starting to wear this preggo mom out.
My Mom came over to visit for this morning. It was a nice break to yet another LONG day at home. But after playing for a while Grady peed a little in his underwear but would not want to finish in the potty. He did this a couple times, but then he asked for Grandma to come with him and he went. I guess he did not to miss anything.
He only had 3 or 4 small wet underwear and one poop accident.

Potty Training Day 2
Grady had no accidents in the middle of the night but this morning as soon as we heard him start to move around we went in there and he had an already had an accident in his bed.
Today has been GREAT. We have been pumping Grady full of juice. He has only had about 5 accidents and peed on the potty a ton on times.
He had not pooped all day yesterday or today and we could tell he had to go but does not want to sit on the toilet, he loves that he can stand up and pee. About 2 mins after we laid him down for a nap he was at the door crying and he had pooped in his underwear. That was one of the 5 accidents.
We have been stuck inside staying by Grady's side for 2 days now. Grady keeps asking to go bye bye or to see his friends Owen and Brookston. But I really want to follow all the rules in the book so hopefully we can have him potty trained in 3 days. So we are staying home and it is too hot to play outside (playing in the water would be nice by then we would not know when he had a pee pee accident). So we are all getting a little cabin fever.
Tonight when we put him to bed he ask to pee pee right away even though he had just been and he did go again.
Luckily Grandma is coming to visit tomorrow when I am home alone with Grady.
3 Day Potty Training!! Day 1
After talking to many friends about not wanting to have 2 kids in diapers and wanting Grady potty trained before the new baby comes. They recommended I start potty training soon so that way Grady is good and potty trained before Baby H comes in Nov.
I knew I wanted to start once we got back from vacation. I found this 3 Day Potty Training book online. So last week we started stocking up for this weekend. I let Grady pick out his big boy underwear, he picked out trains (Thomas, but he does not know who Thomas is), Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse.
After 3 trips to Wal-mart last week. I was all stocked up and ready to start.
We started Saturday because I want to have Keith's help the 1st two days and then I will do it alone the 3rd day. The book wants you to stay right by your child for 3 days that way you can catch them in the act and run them to the potty. She also wants to you remind them 100 times a day to let mommy and daddy when you have to go pee!
That morning we were pumping him with juice and he had not peed or had an accident before lunch. Well after lunch he had about 5 accidents but most were finished in the toilet and then he wanted to try about 7 more times. He wet the bed at nap time.
But by the end of Day 1 of Potty Training it went way better then I thought it would. Only about 10 wet under wears and at the end of the day he told us he had to pee pee and made it the potty 3 times with out wetting his under wear. GO GRADY!!!
We put him to bed tonight with his underwear. The author of this book and a bunch of friends said to NOT USE PULL UPS or put diapers back on him. We have his sheets doubled with a waterproof pad between them. We are pretty sure he is going to wet the bed, he did at nap, but just hopefully not a tons of times.
Oh yeah and after he had been asleep for about 1 hour he started to fuss but we went in and he was still sleeping. But he kept fussing so we woke him up to try to go to the potty and he went.
