Cleaning cars and Letters

Grady has been "helping" Keith wash the cars for a while now.  But normally that just means playing in the soapy water.  But Saturday Grady really helped wash the cars.  He was scrubbing the tires and doing a good job of washing with the sponge.  He really likes to use a LOT of bubbles, he would wash for a couple seconds and as soon as the bubbles were gone he would HAVE to put the sponge back in the bucket for more.  His stomach was an extra cleaning tool... when he tried to clean anything high his stomach would cleaning everything below. 
These are all the letters Grady knows now... the only ones he does not know are G & S.  

Strawberry Patch

Yesterday we went to a Strawberry Patch in Albany, LA with some friends. It was our first time to go pick strawberries. We had a really good time. Grady enjoyed eating the strawberries and filling his basket then dumping them out.   

We have been eating strawberries with every meal this weekend.  We had strawberries on ice cream last night and are going to have strawberries on angel food cake after dinner tonight.

Week of April 20th

Monday Grady painted truck tracks with some of the paint he got for his birthday.  

Tuesday we went with the our playgroup to AgMagic at LSU to see and learn where your food and fiber really come from! 

Wednesday we went to the spraypark for the first time since they opened for the spring/summer.  Grady loved it as much as he always has.  

Friday night we went to a crawfish boil with our playgroup families.  Grady had a wonderful time playing with his friends and Keith and I had a great time at a stress free dinner with other adults.

We had a wonderful Easter.  Grady really got to help dye easter eggs this year and have a easter egg hunt.  He also announced to the family that he is going to be a BIG BROTHER.  His cousin "Baby Audrey" was born April 7.  We got to visit her everyday while we were in Mandeville and she was able to come to the Easter crawfish boil with us.

Grady's Construction Birthday Party!!

This year we decided to only invite our parents, siblings and Grady's play group friends.  Here are the wonderful invite my sister made for Grady.

We rented a spacewalk with a small slide for his party.  It was a big hit for most of the kids.  Grady LOVED it and was playing in it for most of the party.
We want to thank everyone that was able to attend, Grady had a WONDERFUL Day!!  And thank everyone for all the thoughtful gifts.  

Happy 2nd Birthday!

I have been busy sewing and getting ready for Grady's Birthday Party!  Here is a Birthday banner and shirt I made for Grady.

Keith finished his 63 day turnaround the week of Grady's 2nd Birthday.  So he took off Friday, March 27 so we could celebrate and play with Grady all day.  We met some friends at Chuck E Cheese for lunch.

Then that night we met some friends and family for Grady's 2nd Annual Birthday Dinner at Hooters!!  Our hooter girl took a REALLY long time to get us our food, but we had fun.
Kevin, Andrea & Steve came over after dinner to sing "Happy Birthday" and eat cupcakes.
Then after that we video chatted with Aunt Steff so she could see Grady open his gift from them.  He LOVED the truck they got him.   Thanks Steff, but we missed you!  

Pacifier UPDATE!!

Well the crying at naps just got worse.  Then he stopped crying and just started playing no longer taking a nap at ALL.  I am not ready for Grady to not nap yet so we GAVE UP on getting rid of the pacifier for now.   

We are going to try again 2 or 3 months.  But we are quitters for now, but LOVING that Grady is taking naps again!!
