We have such a busy night tomorrow that we decided to have Grady's birthday supper after his soccer practice tonight.  Grady picked Caliente (Mexican) again this year.

Grady's 7th Birthday

Happy Birthday Grady!! I can not believe he is 7 years old!!

Riding is new 6 gear bike before school.  

Reece did not have school Thursday or Friday for teacher professional development.  He came to the Y with me.  

Then lunch at school with Grady, we brought cupcakes for his class.

Birthday cookies and opening gifts at the soccer field after Reece's practice and before Keith's game!! Grady told me tonight he did not want the day to end!!

Made a half chocolate half lemon Doberge cake for Grady!!

Grady's Fall Break

Grady had Fall Break Monday he decided he wanted to go bowling and play putt-putt. 

Grady won the first the game!!

 Then I won the second game.

Keith's Over 30's Soccer team won the championship.

Then Keith and I went an Exxon Mobil Safety Recognition Dinner at Mansur’s on the Boulevard.

 Grady's class had a Slumber Party today then this afternoon they passed out Kindergarden Awards.

 I checked Grady out of school after the awards and we got Ice cream and French fries.

Grady's After Party & Birthday!

We started having the After Party/ Family Party after Grady's 5th Birthday Party and I really love the idea.   This way we can hang out and visit with the family instead of having to visit while hosting the Birthday Party.  The family also gets to interact the birthday boy instead of watching him play with his friends.  

 Everyone, well almost everyone, at the after party had to try the Slackline.

We all enjoyed pizza and cookie cake.  It was a wonderful end to a wonderful day.  

Wednesday was Grady's Birthday.  He did not want to rip down the streamers from his Birthday Morning Surprise, so he has been ninja"ing" under them.  The boys and I picked up donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast.   I let Grady open one gift (I hinted to the gift I thought he was waiting for), they played with the Leapster GS all day.  I made them a PB&J face for lunch.  Grady had soccer practice Wednesday night and after practice we went to supper at Caliente Mexican Restaurant (Grady's Choice).   We came home to open gifts and eat Doberge cake. 

Ninjago Ninja Training Party

Grady has his 6th Birthday Party Saturday.  

We started off Ninja Training by making Ninja Names.  

The boys made Origami Ninja Stars, then decorated the stars with Japanese Characters.  

Once the stars were decorated they practiced throwing the stars to knock off the balls.

All Ninjas have to have good Balance, so the boys practiced walking on the slack Line.

They practiced punches and kicks with the Hanging Ball.

All the boys broke wood boards.  

(I saw on a website that your can use Balsa wood that you buy at hobby lobby.)

Then we had Samurai Sword Battles with pool noodles.  They had to balance on the beam, the first one to step off lost.  

It was a wonderful Party.  

 We gave all the boys Samurai Swords as a party favor. 

1st week of Kindergarten

Grady started Kindergarten

We waited 40mins for the bus to come pick him up.  When it had not arrived by 7:40 and school started at 8:00 I decided to bring him to school.

I did get to take a picture of him in front of his classroom.  Monday only boys went to school.  

 

 He got safely off the bus Monday afternoon.  He had already made a new a friend in his class.  He also  ate the sausage out of the white beans and rice they at for lunch and got chocolate milk.    

He had no school Tuesday (just girls).  Wednesday everyone went to school here he is getting on the bus that morning.    He had great week every night at supper we talk about our favorite things and every night this week school was his favorite thing.  

He also loved having pizza, chicken fingers and hamburgers for lunch.  On Wednesday he told me he did not get the pudding because he thought it was a salad or something.  He was really happy to see they offered pudding again the next day and this time he made sure to get it.

He has been coming home with letters and notes that used inventive spelling all week.  

Here is one he wrote to us... "I had a great day at school."  It just feels so great to hear your child say that about school.
