What I wore this week..

Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy had a post with pictures of what she was wearing for a week. I read her blog all the time and it is neat to now connect the person (outfits and all) to the blog.  I decided it would be fun to do the same thing..
Thursday - playdate at Mall playarea

Gap jeans

Friday - little gym and pizza with friends
Express shirt
Gap jeans

Saturday - soccer game for Grady and Strawberry patch
Gap tank top
Old Navy capris

Sunday - church, soccer game for my husband & Earth Day Fest
I had a Gap cardigan on for church

AgMagic

The LSU AgCenter puts on AgMagic once a year in the Parker Coliseum.  It teaches and shows you all about Louisiana agriculture. This was our 2nd time going with our playgroup.
After AgMagic we walked to the LSU dairy store for some ice cream.  I went to LSU for college in 1999 and have lived in Baton Rouge ever since and had never been to the dairy store.  And now I am very upset to see what I have been missing ALL these years, the ice cream was delicious.
Here is the some of the kids playing Ice Cream Train after they enjoyed there ice cream cones.  All the kids wanted ice cream cones, why is that?? Maybe because they love to get messy, but I think Grady was the messiest. He had to have a shower when we got home before I would let him get in his bed to take a nap.

Strawberry Patch

We went to the Strawberry Patch Saturday with some friends after Grady's soccer game.

Reece is 5 months old!!

Weight: 14lbs 8oz - 17th percentile
Length: 25 1/4 in - 28th percentile
Head Circumference: 16 3/4in - 33rd percentile
Reece is still eating baby food twice a day and has now tried all the Stage 1 baby foods, we tried veggies first and then fruits.  We will start stage 2 baby foods soon.  He is now drinking breast milk or formula every 4 hours and we stopped giving him the dreamfeed at night.    He also started sleeping thru the night, his last feeding is at 7pm he goes to bed at 8pm and does not wake up till 7am.  YEAH!!
He is STILL not rolling over.  He is SOOOO close to rolling over from his back to his belly but he can not get his arm out from under him.  He has rolled over from is belly to his back a couple times but does not do it consistently yet.  He now loves to put toys in his month and moving around in circles on the floor on his back.
He is such a sweet, happy, and easy baby.  He is now sleeping in a sleep sack, no more swaddling.  He now likes the car seat he will fall alseep and stay asleep in there while we are driving, YEAH!! He also will sleep in the stroller while we are out and about.

Fun day with Bree

My Friend Liz needed someone to watch her one of her daughters while she went to get her haircut.  Tuesday is one of the days I go to the Y to workout so we brought Bree with us.  It was fun walking in with 3 kids they all did GREAT!!  Reece was in the pouch, Bree held my hand and Grady held Bree's hand (so cute).

Reece went right down for a nap when we got home so we played and colored till lunch time.

After lunch Bree helped my feed Reece a bottle.  Girls are so different then boys, Grady will help me get things but does not sit still long enough to help me feed Reece (He holds the bottle up for 2 seconds and then is off).

Then the two big kids played in Reece's activity gym for a while till Grady bumped his head on the table.
When Liz and Bree were leaving Grady was waving goodbye and giving the "I Love you" sign.  Sweet Boy!!

Liz we a wonderful time playing with Bree!!

Well-visit ... did not go so WELL

Oh my that was a REALLY bad trip to the Dr Office.  I put Reece down for a nap around 11:30 and still had to wake him up so we could make it to our 1:40 appt.

After a whirlwind of weighing and measuring both kids.  And Grady getting his blood pressure taken for the 1st time.

We got settled in the examining Grady started spinning around and around moving all around me and Reece, making a REALLY loud noise.   He told me he was a car wash.  Well it was a REALLY loud car wash so I keep having to tell him to be a quiter car wash.  Then after waiting in there for about 10min Grady starts telling me he has to pee.  I am thinking the Dr will be in there in any second so ask him to hold it.  Then after a minute or 2 of still waiting he asks to go again.  I tell him we will go right after we talk to the Dr.

Once the Dr finally gets in there, Grady is spinning around and yelling and Reece is just talking away in my ear, I can barely hear the Dr.  Grady asks to go to the bathroom 2 more times while going over his 3year developments... finally Dr. Hart says she will examine Grady and then I can take him to the bathroom while she examines Reece.
Then while we are waiting around for Grady's chicken pox shot, Grady tries to hug me and Reece and bumps heads with Reece.  Well Reece FLIPS out and will not stop crying.  The nurse comes in to give Grady's shot and Reece is still crying she had to go another nurse to hold Grady down.  Then Grady FLIPPED out after his shot... both the boys are CRYING.  Grady is limping and crying as we walk back to the car.  But once he got his lollypop open he was better.
But one nice thing is they both passed out on the way home and we only live 5mins away from the Dr office.   He is still sleeping with the lollypop, I can not get it out of his mouth.  I have tried 5 times already but I really don't want to wake him up.

Toothless Lighting

The Easter Bunny left this super hero cape and cuffs and a couple other thing in Grady's basket.  Grady was not really excited about the super hero gear.
So last week we watched The Incredibles so he could see what a Super Hero is.  Yesterday he decided he wanted to be a super Hero and his Super Hero name is Toothless Lighting.
Toothless is the dragon from the movie How to train your Dragon.  And Lighting is from the Cars movie.

Reece's 1st movie

Grady has been asking to go see How to train your dragon since his birthday weekend, but we have been so busy every weekend we have been telling him he needed to be good and earn a trip to the movie theater.  Keith came home from Houston Wednesday afternoon and we decided we would go since we have another busy weekend.

It was Reece's 1st movie and he did great.  The movie was really cute.

Reece's Baptism

Reece was baptized Sunday April 11 at St. Jude Catholic Church.

Godparents- Stephanie (my sister) & Kevin (my brother)
My mom was standing in for my sister since she was not able to come in from Maryland. We missed you Stephanie.

The baptismal gown has been worn by all my moms siblings (7 of them), grandchild (14), and great-grandchild (2).  A couple of my aunts decided on Sunday that we should get everyones name embroidered on the inside layer of the gown.  I would LOVE to add a photo album to put in the box with the gown with EVERYONES picture in the gown.  (Aunts, Uncles & Cousins please email/mail me any pictures you have of you and/or your kids in the gown)

Best Quote of the Day: When we were getting Reece dressed at church today Grady said "Mom he looks like a princess."

Audrey's 1st Birthday

Our Niece Audrey had a her 1st Birthday Party on Saturday.

We had a wonderful time at your party!!

Grady's 2nd Soccer Game

Grady had his 2nd soccer game this Saturday.   Again it took him till the 2nd half to be ready to play.  We think he is having stage fright some of this is our fault because we have gotten to the the fields right when the game is starting both weeks.  So next week we are going to get there early so Grady can "warm up" before the game and see if that helps.

Ronald McDonald House

Two moms in our playgroup organized for us to make and serve dinner at the Ronald McDonald House in New Orleans on Friday April 9.

A couple moms could not come to New Orleans with us but donated food.  Ashley gave me beans to bring, well on Friday when I was taking them out of the car one of the HUGE cans of beans fell on my toe, it broke the nail and started bleeding.  It hurt REALLY bad and I still had to make 2 trays of baked mac & cheese to bring.  Then once I started to make the mac & cheese I realized I did not buy enough cheese so I had to make a quick trip to the grocery story at nap time limping with my hurt toe.

But everything turned out wonderful!  We had a great time.

It was really neat to go there because when my brother was born in Morgan City, LA in 1986, he started to have seizures so they flew him to New Orleans where they could take better care of him.  My parents were able to stay at this Ronald McDonald House while he was in the hospital.

Cool Haircuts

Grady and Keith got haircuts on Thursday!

I was taking pictures of everyone in the car and did not want to leave Reece out.
