Reece is 8 months old!

Poor Reece turned 8 months old on the 16th of this month and I am just now getting around to posting this update.

Weight: 17lbs 14oz - 24th percentile

Reece is now sitting in the tub with no sling or anything.  He is loves to splash and play with Grady.

He is now eating ALL table food he is just eating what we have for meals.  It is so much easier to have everyone eating the same thing.

Reece went to his 1st O'Meara Family Reunion in West Virginia.  (It was Grady 1st reunion too since it only happens every 5 years)  He also got his 1st ear infection on this trip... poor baby never really complained till we were landing in New Orleans, then we quickly knew his ears were hurting him.

Reece got his 1st tooth right before he turned 8 months old.  He is still backing up and scooting backwards but has not figured out how to go forward yet.

He is such a sweet happy boy but has started to show his distaste when we stop him from doing some thing he wanted to be doing.  He has a real good "tank" face that shows us that he is not happy... I am famous for my "tank" face when I was young and I still use that face some times today.  I need to get the photo of me as a kid and him with the "tank" face :)

Grady's 8month update

7 Quick Takes: party, pedals, planks

1. Bachelorette Party
I went to my cousin Liz's Bachelorette Party in New Orleans on Saturday.  I had not been to Bourbon St. in a LONG time it was a lot of fun.  But man do you see things in a different as you get older :)

2.  Pedaling
Grady finally started pedaling his tricycle.  YAY go Grady!!

3.  Canada & Cali
Keith has had two business trips in the past two weeks.  He went to Canada last week for 4 days and then California this week for 3 days.  We stayed really busy last week. This week we had lunch with friends two days and then my mom came in to visit and have dinner on Wednesday so the time went by quickly.

4. Baby Planks
Reece started doing baby planks.  He is still not crawling but getting up on his hands and knees, then he goes up to his toes and does a plank.  I am going to have to try to get a picture of it soon.

5. HAPPY DAY!!

6. Louisiana Children Museum
Friday we went with friends to the Children Museum.  We had a wonderful time.  On the way I stop by Caffe Caffe to get a Freeze for me and cookie for Grady.

7.  Dinner with the family
On the way home from New Orleans Rachel called and invited use to dinner at her mom's house.  We had a wonderful time visiting and playing with the kids.  Dinner was WONDERFUL thank you so much Eva.

7 Quick Takes: trips, trips and more trips :)

1. O'Meara Family Reunion
was July 2-5, at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia.    The reunion is with my mother's Fathers siblings.  It is the original five O'Meara Siblings, then all their kids and their kids (like me) and then our kids!!  I think their was close to 120 people there this year.  This just the 2nd cousins and in-laws... I will post whole group shot when we get one.

2. Went to Maryland to visit Stephanie and Bogdan
On Monday July 5 we drove from West Virginia to Frederick, MD to see Steff and Bogdan.  We were able to see their new house for the 1st time in person, it is hard to understand a house though pictures.   My Parents rented us a beautiful house to stay in that gave us a ton of room to play and sleep.    We went to the Maryland science center, Cunningham Falls State Park (Near Camp David), Aunt Lucy's House, and the Baltimore Aquarium.  We had a lot of fun but the boys both got sick on the trip so we were sad to leave but ready to get back home.

3.  Grandma came to play
on July 14!!  We had a lot of fun making tents, watching Grady jump and do tricks to make Reece laugh and watching Grady try to catch a ball.

4. Reece turned 8 months old
Will post about this soon!!!

5. Swimming at Shay-Shay & Papa Andy's House
Grady is swimming great it still just amazes me that he just learned this summer.  He nows wants to dive for toys, but still can not get his body to sink to the bottom of the pool so we have shove him down to the bottom so he can pick up dive toys.  This was his 1st time jumping off the diving board and he LOVED it and did it over and over again (poor Keith had to tread water and get him every time).

6. Canada
Keith was in Canada for work Monday - Thursday.  Sometimes the days Keith are gone can get ready long and hard, but this week was wonderful.  The boy were being so well behaved, well besides the boys waking up 6am Wednesday and Thursday morning (they normally get up around 7am).

7. Moms night out
Keith got home Thursday afternoon and Thursday night I got to meet some friends at the Melting Pot to celebrate my friend Heather's birthday.  I was a fun night, I am so lucky to have found some wonderful friends.
