Grady had his final soccer game of this season.  That night we took the boys to the Melting Pot...

they had a lot of fun but got a little bored while we were eating the main course.  So we gave each boy an iphone and enjoyed the rest of our supper.  We do not let them play with our phones much and especially not at supper but it just the distraction we needed till it was time for chocolate.

Sunday

Sunday we painted the final coat of white and taped out the stripe. 

Then we trimmed all the trees in the front yard before we went to Keith's soccer game (the first one he played in all season since he hurt his hamstring in winter co-ed). 

Tuesday 

I bought a dual flush conversion kit (this toliet would run a lot and would flush on its on... now it is prefect and we are saving water)

Wednesday 

A guy came to run some electrical and plumping for the boys bathroom.

Thursday

Picked up 4 cypress trees from BRGreen sale.  We are going to put them in a really wet part of our back yard instead of filling it all in with dirt.

I went to watch a movie with my faith sharing group and this is the photo I get from Keith while I am out.  Grady was dancing/spinning around the bathroom after his bath and got a bloody nose when hit his nose on the wall.  This is the sad boys saying "I LOVE YOU" and wanting hugs from mom.

 Eating supper (frozen pizza and apples) on the porch after Keith cut the grass.  

As soon as we finished supper we planted the 4 trees.  :) 

Healthy Smoothies

 I found this pin on Healthy Smoothies from Howdoesshe.com.  I started making these about a month and a half ago adding and changing a couple things.  

Ingredients:

1 kale leaf

1cup spinach

1 banana

~1/2cup greek yogurt 

2tbsp flaxseed meal

4-5 whole frozen strawberries

1 cup frozen blueberries

4to5oz pineapple juice 

I put in the ingredients to SELFnutritiondata.com they did not have greek yogurt but I found a lowfat with high protein. Here is what I found.  

This smoothie is low in Saturated Fat and Sodium, and very low in Cholesterol. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber and Vitamin B6, and a very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and Manganese.

I am trying to lose weight does anyone has any ideas to make this smoothie healthier? 

I drink a pint glass of this smoothie every morning and give the extra to the boys or if they don't want it I have started to freeze it I normally can get two popsicles with the extra.

 The boys had there first popsicles for breakfast last week and loved them.  

  

The smoothies are a big hit in our house for me and for the boys.

Oh my a whole week went I by... I was planning on posting about Easter but with Grady being on Easter break this week I guess I went on break also.

Saturday

We got Beignets for Breakfast while my mom brought my brother Kevin and his fiance Amber to New Orleans to run the Crescent City Classic.   

 That afternoon we had the Annual O'Meara Easter Crawfish boil.  My dad did a WONDERFUL job on the crawfish as usual and we had a great time visiting with family.  

We took this picture and texted it to everyone who could not make it.   After we took one for my cousin Sarah and her husband Brent who are pregnant with their first child to let them know we were all thinking about and praying for them. My cousin Liz wrote a beautiful post with more information.

Easter Sunday 

We had a wonderful day with my parents, Keith's parents and Keith's brother Adam and his family.  We took these bathroom cabinets and my brother's bunk bed home from my parents house.  We are finally working on the boys bathroom upstairs.  I also plan on refinishing the beds for Reece's room.

 Monday

Keith took the day off from work.  It was nice to relax a little bit and we got a couple things done around the house.

 We went out to eat greek for supper.  Grady ate more food then I did. 

 Tuesday

We meet my friend Jana and her son Brook at the splash park the boys loved it but Reece was shivering because it was a bit chilly so after lunch we just played at the park.  

 Wednesday 

We meet my friend Ashley and her daughters at the Zoo.  Right when we got there Grady found a friend from school so they stayed with us the whole time.  

 It was too sunny on the playground so Reece needed my sunglasses.

 Thursday 

After Grady's gifted screening test we were planning on going to the library but the weather was to beautiful to spend it all inside.  We went to the park and end up seeing my friend Christina and her kids there.  We went to Cane's for lunch after (at Grady's request)

 Friday

We went to the Strawberry patch with Andrea and Travis to pick strawberries.  

 We had a wonderful time and an added bonus was...

 a quiet ride home :)

Keith and I painted the second coat of paint in the boys bathroom this morning.  Then we went to my parent's house for the weekend.  We went to Mandina's in Mandeville for supper.
