Grady is 5 years old!!

 Grady woke up Tuesday morning to balloons in his bedroom.  This is him telling Reece these balloons look like light bulbs.

 Then Grady showed Reece how to sit and behave at school for when we go that morning for Grady's Celebration of Life. 

More balloons, birthday banner and blueberry muffins for breakfast.

 Celebration of Life

 After the 5 journeys around the sun we ate snack with his class.  Reece did wonderful at school.

 He opened a couple gifts before we went to his birthday supper at the restaurant of his choice.  He picked Mexican.

  

 Papa Andy was able to come to supper and spend the night at our house on Grady's Birthday.  

(i guess that is what i get for not taking a test shot :)

Happy 5th Birthday Grady!!  He is so happy and pound to be 5.   

I can not believe our baby is 5.   We Love you Grady!!

I had faith sharing this morning then Reece & I went to lunch with the Schneiders.  After lunch we went to the produce stand and picked out a blueberry, meyer lemon and a satsuma tree.  Then Reece took a nap in the car till we picked up Grady.

Papa Andy called us from London to try to skype with Great Grandma Gloria but his connection was too slow.  

 But we had fun playing with photo Booth after :) 

Monday

Keith left today to go to Houston for the week.  So I decided to make some easy dinners, BUT only my son would cry over mac&cheese and corndogs for supper.  Grady was upset because I did not make bowtie noodles (sorry honey then you need to tell velveeta to stop making shells and cheese and start making bowtie and cheese)

 Tuesday

 Reece has been playing drive thru in the cat door on our laundry room door (we have been saying we need to replace that door since we moved in here almost a year ago).  This morning Grady ordered 4 cheeseburgers, an icee for Reece, a kool aid for him, a hot coffee for mom and a bud light for dad.

The boys enjoying smoothies I made for breakfast

 I got the idea for this healthy smoothie here on pinterest.  I loved that she put spinach in it.  

I put spinach, 

banana, 

frozen blueberries, 

frozen starwberries, 

frozen pineapple (b/c they have been in my freezer for too long), 

activia yogurt (b/c i am trying to be more regular, but then i realized that it would be easier and cheaper to take the probiotics I have in the fridge for the kids last antibroic)  

So next week I will be using greek yogurt (I knew it was a better choose but then got an extra push from my cousin Liz) 

pineapple juice or hand squeezed orange juice when i had them 

and Flaxseed Meal

Keith told me we need to show Grady this picture if he ever wants to grow a stash :) 

 We heard on the radio that Tuesday was National pancake day... pancakes for supper.

Here he is just trying to potty before we went to pick up Grady after running a couple errands. 

This is the after day after I learned that giving smoothies every morning packed with so much fiber to an already regular potty training kid.... might not turn out so good.  Let me just say underwear, carseat and walmart parking lot (NOT FUN).
