Saturday, Keith and I went to our friends annual Halloween Costume Party. We decided late Wednesday night we were going to dress up as Mario Kart, after looking up things that go together.
My mom came in to watch the boys Saturday night. This is the boys driving our cars Sunday morning.
At the beginning of Halloween we received a Halloween Costume Catalog and Grady decided he wanted to be a robot, here the the costume he cut out as his inspiration. It was prefect because he has been drawing a lot of robots since the summer and I told him he could design and make the consume himself.
Each of the boys painted the front of their boxes.
I started saving lids and tops a couple weeks ago. Grady picked and place all the knobs while I hot glued them.
We tried a couple different robot head ideas but Grady liked just the googles the best. Keith came up with the idea to put the light up balls on the top.
Monday night we went back to our old neighborhood and went trick or treating with our friends who have two kids the same age as Grady and Reece. All the kids had so much fun. We even pick up McHugh on the way since Kevin was stuck at work and Andrea was home with the new baby Lucy.
We made the robot names from the boys first and middle name and their age.
I love all of your costumes! That's too cool that Grady was the "designer" of his costume. Must have been a lot of fun for him to have so much input. And, on another note, I love that his robot drawing says "God / Grady" ;)
